Why have i been banned from the current game?

Hello all,

I have gotten my key for Age of Emipres online Greek premium packvia my work and the Microsoft-Expertzone training program. Now i have downloaded the game and entered the codes given to me by Microsoft. All went ok and i played the game for a little while. When i wanted to play again later in the day i got the message that i am banned from the current game!?!

Why is this??? Could a support please give me an answer on this!?

I have not tried logging in since then because i was waiting for an answer.

But dont you think it wierd that i get a "you have been BANNED from the current game" during a maintenance?!?! Shoudnt the message then say that you can not connect because of maintenance?!

Could you please be so kind to check and tell em if i am really banned or not?

Yes, it is. The community manager said they are working on fixing this.

If you did not receive a PM on the forum or an email stating that you were banned, you're not banned. Since you started playing recently and don't see anything you would have done wrong, I assume you tried to play during maintenance.

The maintenance started around 18.15 and ended 20.50 PM GMT+2, Monday August 29, Dutch time. Let me know if this was the time you tried to play.

Don't worry about it, just try to login and see if it works. If you still see the message, email community@ageofempiresonline.com and you should be able to get more information.

This happened to me and my friend during themaintenance. This just goes to show you how dumb the staff is that is working on this game.

You guys (developer) need to get your act right because this alone will cause anyone to get mad, leave and never look back if they see this message. Not only are they losing any potential new revenue coming in but they are pissing their customers off and basically saying "You've been scammed because this game is really not Free 2 Play". That is not good business practices let alone a smart business decision.

So please next time display a message that says "We are currently doingmaintenanceon our servers, our servers from be back around x:xx PM PST" not the dreaded "You've been banned" message that no one wants to see in their lifetime.
