List of troubles I have with launching this "drunk-developers-made game" :
"Game Initialization failed. Your Game Files may be corrupted. Try a scan" (and it downloads again "sound.bar")
"Localized Text could not be loaded. Try a scan"
And last trouble : The "Sound.bar" file sometimes download in loop ! it goes back to 0% when it reaches 100% !
the strange thing is that the beta version was OK...

Let's start with the most obvious... Did you preform a scan?
Try removing all files from the directory except AOEOnline.exe then right clicking on AOEOnline.exe and run as administrator.
It should start a new download.

I've done about 10 installations ! but nothing got better... The game sometime works but not today...
Simple question...
In the last Windows OS Update it set the security back to strict for many people in the Windows Firewall...
Can you go into the control panel and check Windows Firewall.

I've tired it again and the game has been running during 3 days (including today). But now, the "game initialization failed" is back !
I don't know why !
Maybe I didn't leave the game correctly ant it corrupts files ? I don't know but it's strange..game files are fragile lol
