This is killing me. Chat issues.

So, my chat box is currently screwed as the Trade tab is broken and I can't access it's settings (by right-clicking it). I had to create a new tab for Trade and another one for LFG, which was also broken. So my chat box looks like this: General | Trade (useless, can't delete it or use it) | Ticker | New Trade | New LFG

Any suggestions to fix the whole chat?

If you uninstall and install the game it doesn't effect your game progress. I would attempt that first.

|||Thank you for replying. I haven't tried that yet, I'm not sure if tab settings are client or server side, but I'll check it out. I wonder if I'm the only one with this problem.

I'm not sure myself if chat settings are server or end user side. If it's end user side this will reset everything back to default by uninstalling and installing. If it doesn't fix the issue I can look a little deeper into it and see if I can come up with a solution. Hard part is I've not been able to repro the issue on my end.

|||I have the same problem, I can't use the General chat, I had to create another tab aswell to use it...|||It's server side... it's part of the profile apparently. Hope they fix it soon.

OK, here are exact instructions on how to get a working trade channel:

1. Right click the "General" tab, 3 options shouldappear"New Tab," "Close Tab" and "Options." Click "New Tab."

2. Left click the new tab to go to it. Then right click on the "New Tab" this time click "Options" from the drop-down menu.

3. In the options click the check box for "Trade," then close the options window.

4. Use the new trade channel!

Unfortunately this method leaves the old trade channel to clutter the window but I haven't figured a fix for that yet.

|||Maybe I wasn't clear enough. My new trade tab works. It's just annoying to have the old one sitting there.

I have installed the game on my PC. Me & my brother play on same PC using own e-mail addresses. He experiences trade chanel problem but my trade chanel works fine. So from this it can be inferred that its not client-sided problem, its server-sided problem.

Same problem occured to me during beta. But there was a solution of it. He has also tried that but it doesn't work in release version.

|||i tired uninstalling and installing. that didn't fix the issue. the funny part is on my desktop computer chat doesn't work but on my laptop it works, so i copied the files from my laptop installation and moved it to my desktop computer, but that didn't seem to fix issue. really weird. it may have to do with some configuration also. not sure!|||

So the game works correctly on the laptop but not on the desktop?

|||that is correct. the only difference in configuration that i do between the two installations is on laptop, all graphic settings are set to the bareminimum.
