Hi. I have this problem where all my ambient sounds are gone, like my units won't say a thing when I click them. And there isen't any other small sounds like battle sounds or any sounds when my bow men shoots. The problem did occur when I was coop, then I just restarted my computer and the problem was solved, but recently it didn't even help.
I've tried to restart the computer, restarted the game and tried the setting and put the ambient sounds off and on.

In options under sound you will see a slide bar to adjust the sound levels. Give that a try.
|||That slide bar have adjusted up and down a million times. I'd even try to do a full scan, which sometimes works.|||Bump. Please if anyone have an idea how to fix this I would be happy. AoE Online is "missing" something when you can't hear the swords clings and the arrows songs|||i am having the same issue ive tried reinstalling game and everything mentioned above.|||bump|||

To be honest, I've tried to repro this issue and I can't. If I could repro it then coming up with a solution is easy. Needless to say it's going to take some time to get an answer and solution to your issue. If it was an issue with the sound files, installing again should fix the issue. It didn't in your case and with this issue having limited people having it makes it harder.
Let's see if there's a common element with your computers.. Can you list the make/model of your computer along with it's specs. Is it a laptop or desktop? Especially your sound card or onboard sound devices along with the manufacture. Can you verify your sound drivers are up to date. I think I'm going to focus more on your sound cards at this time. Especially output channels andcompatibility. Some older sound cards do have limited output channels and they "mute" additional output sounds so I'm wondering if that is the cause.
