Keep getting a "The Age of Empires Online server is not available at this time"

On the first time I played AoE Online it was quite fine.

Then after the second day I started getting a "The AoE Online server is not available at this time. Please try again later. (LF 0004)" message randomly.

I've already double-checked the firewall settings. All ports are open. I've also disabled my anti-virus software and there is no other application using the network/wan.

I'm using dual link (two ISP connections) with redundancy, one 20Mbps/1Mbps and another one 1Mbps/1Mbps.

Any clue? Anything that might help?

I've been trying to play for 3 days now and I simply can't. I've got stuck on the "Mow'em down" quest (level 4) and can't go on any further because everytime I play I get the error randomly and my progress is lost.

I'm having the same problem. For the past 3 or 4 days I have been unable to play for more than 15 minutes or so at a time before I started getting disconnected. It doesn't matter if I am in a game or just sitting in my city using the chat channels. I get disconnected upwards of 10 to 15 times in an hour period sometimes.

It's extremely annoying especially since I purchased the season pass and have been looking really forward to playing this game and now I can't play.

Yep this is happaning to me also, This needs to be fixed asap. I understand its just been released and might have a few teething problems at the start so ill wait for an update, untill then I will not upgrade like a planned on doing as ill be very annoyed if I have paid and cant play for more then 15 mins. There are just so many times I can play the same level before I lose the will to live. haha

|||Been getting this issue all day today, hopefully themaintenancetomorrow will solve these problems.|||Nothing is solved, always disconnected too, this is piss me off, cant finish our game, and there is no reconnecting options, like in tons of other mmo...
|||The servers are currently down for maintenance. Check the announcements section on the forums.

Those who were getting disconnections yesterday and earlier today were most likely getting them due to Internet DNS server overloads as the Eastern USA and Canada were hit with a hurricane that knocked out many Internet DNS hubs. These are MAJOR Internet hubs, NOT Microsoft game servers. It has caused a disruption across the Internet especially those overseas who connect to the main New York hub.

This wasn't due to maintenance, I'm still getting kicked after 10-15 minutes of play-time. This is becoming very aggravating, I'm starting to wonder if it's due to the ports that we opened so we could play with friends. Didn't have this issue last week... I hope it's due to the hurricane, I'm located in Chicago though so I'm dubious.

Anyone else still having these issues? Besides the above one I just received "Connection to the server was lost"... Unable to play a game I've purchased... frustrating.

Could you try it on adifferentinternet connection to see if that is it?

If that doesn't fix it, the issue isn't with your computer or internet but server-side.

Once again,

New York City: 3 Million people without power and a MAJOR Internet Hub and Gateway for Eastern Canada, Eastern USA and International users was damaged during the hurricane. Although DNS Routing was transferred to different Hubs and Gateways there's still can be service interruptions caused by over loaded Hubs.

Cleanup could take a week before everything is restored and back to normal. This includes repairs on an OC 148 cable that supplies internet traffic between USA and Europe that was damaged during the hurricane. Please be patient with connection issues as this could very well be the leading cause. Although you may not use the damaged New York hub, Your Hub could be over loaded with extra traffic causing brief disconnections to your service that might be just enough to kick you offline.

|||While I understand Americans are going through a tough time right now with all damages throughout the east coast, I however find it strange that this damage only affects my connection to LIVE and the AOEO servers. Its not that my net is constantly DCing, I'm not losing ventrilo, my netflix works fine while on my 360, and i have no browsing issues... but I guess we'll see. I just throughly enjoy this game and wish to continue playing and supporting it.
