When ever I hit play get the message (Age of Empires Online has stopped working) in my Event Properties I found (Faulting application Spartan 4.0.05336, time stamp: 0x4e2f7987 Faulting module name atiumdag.dll, version8.14.10.697, time stamp: 0x4aa72293 Exception code: 0xc0000005Faulting offset: 0x0004ba63 faulting process) and so on and so on.
The game is down for scheduled maintenance.

Run the launcher as Administrator and try running a full scan.
