Starting I think two days ago, while I was on a quest and tried opening my bags, the game would crash on me. It did 3 times after I gave up after losing 3 missions progress. Yesterday it was working fine once again. Now today AGAIN, it's crashing when I open my bags.
I played fine for about a week without any crashes or problems.
Windows 7 Professional
x64-bit OS
Service Pack 1
AMD Phenom II x4 965 Processor 3.4GHz
8Gb Installed Ram
ATI Radeon HD 5770 gfx
I am having the same problem. I crash when I open my bags or start a quest. I will go a day or two no problems then all of a sudden crash after crash after crash. I am also getting a video card crash with this game. This is the only game i am having problems with my video card, all other games I have work fine. I even patched the game 2 days ago still having problems.
Window Vista Ultimate
x64-bit OS
Service pack 2
Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 3.16GHz
8gig ram
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 Drivers are up to date.
When you work on a quest or open chests it sends request packets to the server. You both have almost the identical issues except for the video card issue.
1st issue.
I'm wondering since you both say this just recently started to happen if the cause of this issue is the major hub/gateway in New York that was damaged during the hurricane and the DNS routing is causing the issues. By Monday that hub should be back to 100% operational. It does sound very logical. Even if you don't rely on that hub to transfer data other hubs/gateways are picking up the extra customers from that hub causing system overloads and routing issues.
2nd issue.
Your video card crashing... Could you add one more additional spec for your computer. Can you give me the specs of your power supply. If you need assistance on how to get the specs just ask.
Bill
|||I have a "Antec NEO ECO 620C 620W Continuous Power ATX12V v2.3 / EPS12V 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Power Supply". This is much more than needed for my pc specs. I can run off a 500W power supply with no problems.
